Anything Is Possible If You Believe

Hello everyone, hope you are all enjoying your day. For today’s post we are going to continue with the Astrological Keys, hope you enjoy.

Glossary of Aspects

An aspect is simply the relationship between 2 planets & is based entirely on how main degrees apart they are in the chart. Remember that the horoscope circle contains 360 degrees. The planets within the circle form different relationships depending on how many degrees apart they are from each other.

Sextile — a pleasant, harmonious aspect occurring when 2 planets are 2 signs or 60 degrees apart.
Square — a major negative effect resulting when planets are 3 signs from one another.
Trine — planets 4 signs or 120 degrees apart, forming a positive and favorable influence.
Quincunx — a mildly negative aspect produced when planets are 5 signs or 150 degrees apart.
Opposition — a 6 sign or 180 degrees separation of planets generating positive or negative forces depending on the planets involved.

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a great day. Its been a busy day here, but then again. It always is. For today’s post we decided to do something that we haven’t done in a while, during the summer, we stayed at the Old Yarmouth Inn & Tavern for 2 nights, on the first night we just heard stories about what some other people have experienced, it wasn’t until the 2nd night that we had the chance to encounter some the playful & slightly mischievous ghosts.

The ghosts have been know to turn appliances on or turn the lights back on in the kitchen after closing. The seem to just want to let everyone know that they are still there. And now our experience.

We stayed in the Quisset Harbor Room and around 4:00 in the morning, we were awoken by  a calm-mannered man, dressed in late 19th century clothes. He looked a little confused as to why we were in the room. Since we couldn’t go back to sleep we decided to go down to the kitchen, Guilia, the president of our sister site, Celestial Powers couldn’t figure out how to open the kitchen door and behind us, we heard a voice say “Push!”

It wasn’t much of an experience, but it was definitely interesting  and was the high point of our summer. Hope you all enjoyed today’s post. If you have any questions feel free to email us at miraclesnmagic@hotmail.com.

Hello everyone, hope you are all enjoying the day, its beautiful here. I can’t believe it is almost fall already. Before we get started, we here at Miracles n Magic want to take a moment to remember all those who lost there lives 9 years ago today during the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center & all those brave soldiers who fought for our freedom. And now, we are going to talk a little about the Chinese Zodiac. Hope you enjoy!

The oldest calender comes from the Orient & it is still used throughout the Far East. It is based on a 12 year cycle instead of the 12 month cycle, that we use. Tradition teaches that the Chinese Zodiac began over 4000 years ago. Buddha was about to leave Earth, He called to all the animals to say goodbye. Only 12 arrived, so he awarded them with the gift of a year. They would be the animals that were to hide in the hearts of the people born during that year. The 5 elements (Fire, Water, Metal, Earth & Wood) are also part of that system.

Every the element & animals rulers return. For example 2000 was the Year of the Metal Dragon, as was 1940, and the year in 2060 he will make his return. The calender years that end in the numbers 6 & 7 are ruled by Fire, 0 & 1 are ruled by Metal, 2 & 3 are ruled Water , 8 & 9 are ruled by Earth & 4 & 5 are ruled by Wood.

The Crafty Rat was the first to arrive at Buddha’s little party, hitching a ride on the strong Ox. Rat then jumped over the Ox’s head to be the first to arrive at Buddha’s feet. The other fall into order that I will list below. Because e almost missed the party by arriving late the Boar will forever dread tardiness & always watch the clock. Here is a list of each of the animals in order & a little about there personalities.

Rat — dynamic, charming, argumentative, observant
Ox — confident, industrious, conservative, faithful
Tiger — lovable, honorable, moody, adventurous, dramatic
Rabbit — gracious, modest, creative, healthy, secretive, lucky
Dragon — (the only fantasy or mythical creature in the parade) vibrant, magnanimous, sentimental, noble, magical
Snake — amusing, intuitive, intelligent, resilient, fashionable
Horse — willful, logical, generous, leading, pragmatic, opportunist
Sheep — gentle, altruistic, compliant, candid, kindly, tolerant
Monkey — inventive, improvising, energetic, self-assured, competitive
Rooster — astute, proficient, meticulous, communicative, loyal
Dog — devoted, honest, dogmatic, sensitive, anxious, athletic
Boar — temperamental, prompt, sensual, impulsive, discriminating

Well that’s it for today, hope you enjoyed it. As always if you have any questions feel free to email us at miraclesnmagic@hotmail.com, and we will do our best to answer you as quickly as possible.

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a great day. It’s pretty rainy here, but I don’t mind the rain all that much. In fact I find it to be rather cleansing. After all it is Mother Nature’s wayof cleansing the Earth, so why can’t it cleanse us as well. Just my theory, anyway on today’s post. I decided to make today’s post rather simple, but still great. Today I am going to give you some of my favorite quotes regarding herbs.

A man’s nature runs
either to herbs, or to weeds;
therefore let him
seasonaly water one,
and destory the other.
Sir Francis Bacon

Elecampane will the
spirits sustain.
Latin saying

Much Virtue in Herbs
little in Men.
Benjamin Franklin

As for Rosemary, I let it run
all over my garden walls,
not only because my bees love it
but because it is the herb sacred
to remembrance & to friendship
whence a sprig of it
hath a dumb language.
Sir Thomas More

Sage helps the nerves
and by its powerful might
Palsy is cured and
fever put to flight.
French saying

Thou pretty herb of Venus’ tree
Thy true name it is Yarrow
Now who my bosom frined must be,
Pray tell thou me to-morrow.
Halliwell’s Popular Rhymes

To comfort the brain
smell camomile, eat sage,
wash measurebly, sleep
reasonably, delight to hear
melody & wining.
William Ram

Let food be your medicine and
medicine be your food.

Excellent herbs
had other father old,
Excellent herbs to ease their pain.
Rudyhard Kipling

Hello everyone hope you have all been enjoying this beautiful weather, I know I have. Today we are going to talk a little about the Moonstone. It is closely associated with the Moon, as suggested by its name.

It is also known as a sacred goddess stone  & is considered to have many of the powers that the Moon itself has. It is a mottled milky-white stone with a subtle gleam. Rainbow moonstones have shimmers of color & are very beautiful. Many Witches, especially High Pristesses, wear the Moonstone during Full Moon rituals.

It is often used with psychic work, to boost intuition, and to aid in divination. Some psychics will keep a moonstone with their cards or runes. If you can find one large enough it can even be used as a crystal ball. It is also used for love, protection, & sleep magic. I have even heard from a few people that it is good for diet magic.

If you have any questions please feel free to email us at toughlittlearies@hotmail.com and we will be happy to help you. Have a great day!!

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a great day. I am so glad that Spring is finally here. I am sitting out on my porch, drinking my morning coffee & writing today’s blog. Before we get into today’s post, I just want to thank you all your continuted support & to apologize for not posting alot lately. Its just been really crazy around here, with all the changes we have been making & me moving, but things have finally settled down & I will try to post more often. I know in the last post I promised so great deals for the month of March & well we ust got crazy again. So within the next few weeks we will try to think up some great deals for you. In the meantime, we will work on posting as often as time allows.

And now on to today’s post, Are there really such a thing as faeries, you ask? Well, that depends on who you ask I guess. Many Witches believe in them whole-heartedly. Yet others are convinced that they only exist in children’s stories. So could there really be Faeries existing at the bottom of your garden, or anywhere for that matter?

To be honest, Ido belelive that faeries exist, although I’m not entirely sure if they are as portaryed in Tinkerbell or other children’s stories, but I do think that the exist to some degree.  I mean let’s face it, there are many other things in this wonderful universe that we have never seen yet we believe in just as whole-heartedly. So for now let us assume that “Yes, Faeries do exist.”

Now what you ask? Well for one thing, it is a good idea to place nice with these little people, since we can’t see them but they can see us. Also as stated in Temperament of a Faery on our newest sister site The Faerie World, some faeries can be tricky & maybe dangerous. Plus, if they are around they have been for a very long time, probably even before us & will be here long after us. So why not put out that occasional treat for them, maybe plant a few extra pretty flowers in your garden, with them in mind.

So why not when your out planting seeds in your garden ask the Faeries for a little boost, who knows you might just get it. Lastly, here’s a little tip to keep the faeries in your yard happy, plant some colorful & sweet-smelling flowers, and occasionally put out a treat, for example abowl of milk or mead, a few cookies, or a sparkly bauble. If you are nice to them, they will be nice to you.

I guess to answer the question if  Faeries are real or not, you have to look into your heart & go with what you believe. Do you think that they are real?

Well, that’s it for today, hope you all enjoyed today’s post. If you have any questions feel free to email us at our new email address toughlittlearies@hotmail.com and we will be sure to get back to you.
