Cancer’s Symbolic Meaning

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days, I’ve been sick with the flu. This is the first day I have been out of bed & able to stay up. Today we are going to discuss the symbolic meaning of Cancer.

Those of you born under this sign are known for your ability to nurture others. You are especially sensitive to the ways people communicate their feelings. You can easily be affected when someone you care about is feeling bad. Learning about feelings & the moods they produce are an important part of who you are. In astrology we consider the Moon to be a planet & it is associated with Cancer. The Moon’s ever changing shape & its effect on the constantly shifting tides of the ocean is like our ever changing moods.

The symbol for Cancer is the crab. Like the crab your insecurities make you want to crawl into your own version of your protective shell. Fittingly so, since they are the initiators & act according to their aims & goals. Cancerians are legendary for your ability to nurture people & projects along, for you sense the needs of others on an emotional level. However it is important that you remember that your own emotional needs are just as important. You have to remember to nurture yourself as well as others. Sometimes you are so busy helping others that you forget about yourself.

You will do well to remember that you may not be as strong as the people around you may think you are, but that you certainly are strong enough to do what has to be done to make their dreams come true. You must resist withdrawing into your shell if you start to feel insecure. Your usual courage. patience, &  gentle energy are more than you will need to make your life what you will .
